"The One Medical Basic Laparoscopy Course" successfully concluded on August 24. This course was specifically designed for small animal surgeons, focusing on laparoscopic equipment, surgical instruments, and clinical applications, as well as key techniques for small animal laparoscopic sterilization procedures.
Organized by The One Medical Devices Technology Appliance Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Yu-Kirin technology trading Co., Ltd., Flying Wings International Co., Ltd., and Chan Yih trading Co., Ltd., the 'The One Medical Basic Laparoscopy Course' successfully concluded on August 24.
This course was specifically designed for small animal surgeons, focusing on laparoscopic equipment, surgical instruments, and clinical applications, as well as key techniques for small animal laparoscopic sterilization procedures.
The course featured distinguished speakers Dr. Mao Jia-Qing and Dr. Wang Yu-Ping.
Dr. Mao currently serves at Cornell University's Small Animal Minimally Invasive Endoscopy and Oncology Center, specializing in the clinical application and teaching of small animal laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Wang brings extensive clinical experience in small animal sterilization procedures from Cornell University Animal Hospital.
The morning theory session, led by Dr. Mao, provided an in-depth analysis of laparoscopic instrument selection, clinical applications, and case videos. Dr. Wang followed with an academic introduction and clinical insights into sterilization procedures, offering rich and practical content.
The afternoon hands-on session was another highlight. Participants practiced with laparoscopic instrument sets, optical scopes, and The One’s All-in-One processor, engaging in diverse exercises—from needle holder suturing to precision cutting with laparoscopic scissors—combining theoretical knowledge with interactive, skill-enhancing activities.
Looking ahead, we will continue to host more professional courses, advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques in veterinary medicine, fostering industry-academia collaboration, and enhancing the quality of small animal healthcare.
